Africa-Press – Angola. In a challenge decided in the last 40 seconds, the senior women’s team of Interclube B qualified Tuesday, in Luanda, for the quarter-finals of the Angola Cup, by beating La Bomba, by 64 -60.
In a game played at the 28 de Fevereiro pavilion, with successive changes to the scoreboard, Inter B’s concentration allowed them to win a narrow victory, as a result of three free throws, following a technical foul by the opponent.
In an already balanced opening quarter, La Bomba took a 15-13 lead. In reaction, in the second quarter, much more daring, the “police” reacted defensively and offensively, getting ahead of the result of 28-25.
The fearless team of La Bomba, even playing at their opponent’s home, showed their “grit” again and won the third period by 46-43.
In the last and final quarter, the score was almost always equal, but a slight lack of concentration dictated the defeat of La Bomba.
Joana Bande, with 21 points, from Inter, was the best scorer of the match.
