Africa-Press – Angola. The National Team seeks to improve its position in the world ranking (18th) during the Senior Jiu-Jitsu World Championship, to be held from 14 to 20 July, in Mongolia.

For this mission, 20 fighters were summoned, with emphasis on Paralympic athletes Osleyne Ramalhosa (world champion) in the 62kg category, and Ruth Baltazar, vice-champion of the “fighting system” world, in the 52kg.

Also included in the call for the Ne-waza style are Rosângela Teixeira (Z1academy – 49kg), Otchivela António (CP academy-55kg ), Ana Vilela (CPacademia-62kg), Joselaide fraroso (Z1 Academy-70kg) and Luzimery Garcia (GF team +70kg).

The men’s class is made up of Derson Xavier (GF team, -56kg ), Luís António (GF team, -62kg ), Stelan Silva(GF team, -69 kg ), Erick Rodrigo (Z1 Academy, -77kg), Inelton Bombo ( GF team, -85kg), Valeriano Cabral (Rx team, -94kg) and Leonel Ferreira (team LeonelTerramoto,+94kg).

In the fighting styles, Banino Kinanga (-77kg), Elaine Musungo (-69kg), João dos Santos (-69kg), Joaquim Fernandes (-69kg), Elisa Francois (-48kg), Ruthi Baltazar (-52kg) and Marcelina Hoyola were selected (-45kg).

This is the third participation, the last being in 2022, in the United Arab Emirates.
