JMPLA in Soyo wants to open more technical-professional training centers

Africa-Press – Angola. The opening of more technical-professional training centers in the municipality of Soyo, Zaire province, was defended this Wednesday by the first local secretary of JMPLA, Celestino Zacarias.

Speaking to the press, the leader of the MPLA youth organization in Soyo justified that arts and crafts courses contribute to promoting self-employment and, consequently, reducing unemployment rates.

The person in charge also highlighted the housing issue as a necessity, having praised the Executive’s policy of decentralizing powers to provincial governments in the distribution of plots of infrastructured land, within the scope of the directed self-construction program.

He also referred to the announced project to build two centralities in the province of Zaire, with 1500 homes each, one in Mbanza Kongo and the other in Soyo, stressing that its materialization will help in realizing the dream of owning a home on the part of lots of local young people.

He defended, on the other hand, the need to increase the share of vacancies allocated to the province of Zaire and the municipality of Soyo in particular, in public competitions that have been promoted in the most varied sectors, at national level, with emphasis on education and health..

However, he called on young people to refrain from unseemly behavior that disturbs social peace, namely vandalism of public property, riots and others, inviting them to actively participate in public life, contributing to the development of the municipality.

JMPLA’s first municipal secretary of Soyo spoke on the sidelines of the opening act of the IX ordinary meeting of his organization’s Municipal Committee, which is debating issues linked to its internal life.

The meeting is analyzing, among other issues, the report on the activities carried out between November 2023 and April this year by the youth organization in Soyo, as well as the operating regulations of the municipal commission preparatory to the organic process of the IX ordinary JMPLA congress.

Participants must also be informed about the Executive’s program aimed at meeting the vital needs of the local population and, after the meeting, a methodological seminar will follow.
