Africa-Press – Angola. JMPLA must continue to inspire and mobilize Angolan youth to participate in the country’s socio-economic development tasks, said, this Thursday, in Mbanza Kongo, Zaire province, the vice-president of the MPLA, Luísa Damião .
Speaking to the press, on the sidelines of the national central event around the 61st anniversary of the creation of JMPLA, the party leader hopes that this youth organization of her party will also continue to instill in young people the ideals of love for the country.
“JMPLA must continue to be a source of inspiration for the youth class, defending its leader, loving the country and working for the country’s growth”, he reinforced.
Luísa Damião said she hopes for a JMPLA that is always active and committed to the desires of young Angolans.
In turn, the first national secretary of JMPLA, Crispiniano dos Santos, defended greater dedication of young Angolans to academic and professional training, considering it to be the main route to their emancipation and empowerment.
Crispiniano dos Santos guarantees the engagement of his organization, helping Angolan youth to follow successful paths, capable of leading the country to the desired multifaceted development.
The leader made these considerations during the central event of the 61st anniversary of the founding of JMPLA, which took place last Thursday, 23 November, and which was celebrated under the theme “JMPLA loving the country and making Angola grow”.
He spoke of the entry of 1,745 new militants into his organization, this year across the country, as a result of mobilization campaigns as part of the program of activities commemorating JMPLA’s 61st anniversary.
The national central event of the JMPLA, in which hundreds of activists participated, was witnessed by the first provincial secretary of Zaire of the MPLA, Adriano Mendes de Carvalho, by the national secretary of the OMA, Joana Tomás, and by members of the secretary of the party’s Political Bureau.
The vice-president of the MPLA is on a three-day party visit to the province of Zaire, which began on Wednesday, where, in addition to presiding over the JMPLA event, she will also inaugurate her party’s new headquarters in the city of Mbanza Kongo .
