The president, João Lourenço, who was speaking at the mass political rally, in the urban district of Camama, announced the opening next year of the Pedro Maria Tonha “Pedalé” Hospital, in the Morro Bento area.
For João Lourenço, the health unit will serve the area of Morro Bento, Samba, the residents of Luanda Sul, among other parts of the city. (…) They can be assisted in good conditions.
Regarding the Hospital Geral de Viana, with a capacity of 200 beds, he assured that “the construction works are at an advanced pace”.
In his allocation of just over an hour, he also mentioned that Cacuaco is another populous municipality in Luanda, for whom the Luanda hospitals are under pressure. He added that a good number of patients who put pressure on Luanda’s hospitals come from one part of Viana and another from Cacuaco.
“We’re going to stop that. The ones in Viana won’t need to go to the Pedro Maria Tonha “Pedalé” hospital in Luanda, because they’ll have their own hospital. The ones in Cacuaco, the same thing. These two hospitals will be ready, more or less At least, at the same time.
