Africa-Press – Angola. The national junior men’s handball team lost this Tuesday, by 29-33, to a similar team from Portugal, in a game of preparation for the World Cup, from 20 June to 2 July, in Germany and Greece.
Guided by coach William de Almeida, the Angolan team left at half-time already at a disadvantage of 17-14.
In Portugal, since Monday, the country’s team is carrying out a training course in the Aveiro Region, until the 18th of this month.
In the world cup, Angola is in group D, with the defending champions, Spain, Japan and Faroe Islands.
The Angolan team is made up of players Paulo Gonga, Virgílio Salvador (Goalkeepers), José Chicola, David Yambe (Pivots), Gabriel Sebastião, Reginaldo Domingos and Sérgio Figueiredo (Centrals).
This includes Estevão Gomes, Paulo Domingos (Right Wings), Cristóvão Lisboa, Nelson Pedro (Left Wings), Euclides João, Pedro Domingos (Right Wings), Rúben José, Mateus Pedro and Elias Chiquete (Left Wings).
