Africa-Press – Angola. UNITA’s youth organization (JURA) calls on its members to work towards patriotism, aiming at a more prosperous country.

The appeal was made this Wednesday, in Cunene, by the organisation’s provincial secretary, Peregrino Mande, at the opening of the days alluding to the 49th anniversary of JURA, which is celebrated on the 18th of this month.

He defended the need for young people to be persistent about the country’s challenges, focusing on actions aimed at the well-being of society.

“We want solid youth, who understand their duty as citizens and can work for the country,” he said.

The official also spoke about some challenges that young people face in the region, with emphasis on access to university education, libraries and the lack of jobs.

The Youth Revolutionary United of Angola (JURA) was founded on July 18, 1974 and had as its first leader David Janotão.
