Africa-Press – Angola. The Juventude Unida Revolucionaria de Angola (JURA), UNITA’s youth arm, started this Wednesday (5th) the journeys alluding to the organization’s 53rd anniversary, to be marked on the 18th of the current month.

For this purpose, actions of a political, cultural, recreational and philanthropic nature are planned, including lectures, sports matches, donation of blood and material goods, as well as posthumous tributes to various national figures, particularly deceased at a young age.

Speaking to the press, the general secretary of Jura, Nelito Ekuikui, informed that, among the honorees, the patron of JURA, David Jonatão Chingunji “Samwimbila”, stands out.

According to Nelito Ekuikui, the objective is to bring youth to the rails of patriotism and, above all, self-responsibility, respecting the legacy.

On the occasion, the official underlined that the youth must remember, every day, their purpose to raise the flag of freedom high in defense of the Nation’s noblest interests, taking into account the existence of a path to be followed.

JURA was founded on October 28, 1974, in Úria, province of Moxico.
