Africa-Press – Angola. The Ministry of Justice and Human Rights is holding over the next three days a workshop on the “National Reference Mechanism for the Protection and Assistance to Victims of Trafficking in Human Beings”, in Lunda Norte, to train the various actors involved in the fight to the phenomenon.

The event aims to find mechanisms to prevent and combat human trafficking in the country, especially along the borders with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

According to the program sent this Monday, the event will be attended by bodies involved in the administration of Justice, MININT professionals, members of the Local Human Rights Committee, technicians for identifying and referring victims of human trafficking human beings.

To this end, the Secretary of State for Human Rights and Citizenship, Ana Celeste Januário, arrives this Monday in the city of Dundo, who will guide the activities.

In Lunda Norte, in addition to the workshop, Ana Celeste Januário will lead a cross-border forum between Angola and the DRC, as well as hold meetings with bodies involved in the administration of justice, local human rights committees and a delegation from the DRC.

The Secretary of State’s agenda reserves visits to the Cacanda Prison and the Chissanda border to verify the migratory flow.
