Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Marcy Lopes, guaranteed Monday, in Lubango, Huíla province, to work in partnership with the Government of Huíla, to improve the habitability of services, some of which are functional in structures with level of marked degradation.

Of the infrastructures, the highlight is the provincial installations of the Identification Archive and the Registry Office, which observe infiltrations.

When speaking at the end of visits to the provincial facilities assigned to the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, in Lubango, the person in charge pointed out the identification as being the structure that most concerns with infiltration problems and being on the ground floor makes it more difficult.

“We will, in partnership with the Government of Huíla, find the best solutions to improve the habitability conditions of the services, generating decent conditions for employees and accommodation for citizens who come to the services to process various documents”, he said.

Asked about the expansion of services in Huíla, Marcy Lopes said that as administrative districts grow, they will have to keep up and the idea is to have the service closer to the citizen, so that they do not have to travel distances to take care of their needs. personal documents.

However, he highlighted that it is a priority to ensure that justice services are fully functioning, so that in the event of expansion they can be modern services already adapted to the model of the responsible ministry.

The country, according to the minister, has the capacity to issue 12 to 17 thousand identity cards (ID)/day, but users will not collect it, which has created constraints, which is why they have carried out awareness and delivery campaigns to minimize the situation.

In turn, the governor of Huíla, Nuno Mahapi, highlighted that it is a fundamental sector for the entire policy to be drawn up for Angolans and comes at a crucial moment to put together strategies and solutions for the well-being of the populations.

He expressed concern regarding the structures where the provincial identification services and the registry office operate, which lack solutions to improve conditions for workers and users.

The minister who is visiting Huíla, has already seen the facilities of the provincial services of the Justice and Human Rights delegation, the Identification Archive, the Registry Office, Notary Office, the Tundavala identification post, Guiché Único da Lubango Company, as well as the Integrated Citizen Assistance Service.

This Tuesday he plans to travel to the municipality of Chibia where he will visit the municipal services in the sector. An assembly is planned for the following day with employees assigned to the supervisory ministry, in the city of Lubango.
