Africa-Press – Angola. Adapting the offer to a new management profile for visitors and other tourist products in the Quissama National Park can help improve and boost activity, said the Kenyan ambassador to Angola on Wednesday in Luanda.Joyce M-Maitsi expressed the idea during her visit to the Angolan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIA), highlighting the great potential for exploring the aforementioned tourist area.

The management of the project to be implemented involves animals, the trade of Angolan and continental gastronomy in general, handicrafts, and may also include strategies for creating recipes.

However, within the framework of the valuable economic relations between the Angolan and Kenyan states, several meetings are being held with local entities and other agents with a view to strengthening levels of cooperation.

As for cooperation relations with Angola, the Kenyan diplomat considered them positive, hence the need for the two States to be involved in common projects.

After the visit to the CCIA facilities, the event was marked by a meeting of the president of the aforementioned infrastructure, during which priorities of Kenyan potential were discussed, namely in Agriculture, Tourism and Education.

Although the two countries have a long history of common ties, which date back to before Independence, the presence of Kenyan economic agents in Angola is currently limited to a small number of traders.

The president of CCIA, Vicente Soares, highlighted, on the occasion, that Kenya has good park management, which is why it receives considerable numbers of tourist visits, thus allowing it to collect large revenues for the State coffers.

Based on this experience, he said, the presence of Kenyan tourism managers in the country can help boost the sector at a local level, a fact that could be achieved with the signing of the protocol that is being negotiated between the chambers of the two countries.

Vicente Soares announced that the signing of the memorandum will allow potential investors to be identified for different areas of activity. After the signing of the business protocol, it is expected that a business forum will be held alternately between the parties. With the implementation of this project, Angola will be able to benefit from revenues from visitors, the African clothing business and other services.
