Africa-Press – Angola. The Kibabo chain opened, yesterday, in the Jardim de Rosas condominium, Southeast of Luanda, by Via Expresso “Fidel Castro Ruz, the group’s 34th store, having invested 200 million kwanzas.
The investment also generated 50 jobs, of which 25 were direct and the same number were indirect.
According to the Director of Operations, Carlos Rodrigues, the group maintains the schedule of reaching 40 units and a total of 2,000 direct jobs by the end of this year.
“Kibabo is an example and is helping proximity trade in the places where it is located and beyond, in addition to reducing the mobility of residents in the search for essential goods”, he said.
One fact that director Carlos Rodrigues conveyed is that, as the group celebrates its 10th anniversary in December, the intention is that the goals set will be reached in November.
The manager also encouraged farmers across the country to produce in quantity and quality so that they can sell national production to retail networks in the Distribution sector.
Centralidade do Kilamba, in Luanda, had witnessed the entry of store 33, in general, and the fifth in that locality. With that opening, Grupo Kibabo became the largest supermarket chain present in Kilamba, where in addition to the KK 5000 it is also in blocks A, Q, S and X, respectively.
