Africa-Press – Angola. The Labor Process Code is in the publication phase in the Official Gazette, as part of the reinforcement of policies aimed at labor justice, the minister of Public Administration, Labor and Social Security reported this Thursday in Luanda , Teresa Dias.

According to the minister, the aforementioned code will allow, for the first time in the country, labor conflicts to be resolved using this diploma, ensuring that demands between employers and employees are properly dealt with, seeking to pacify disputes and resolve issues. problems.

Teresa Dias was speaking at the seminar on the new general labor law, promoted by her ministry, with the participation of representatives of public and private employers, social partners and magistrates.

The minister said that the consequences of the lack of regulation of the work process and the dispersion of some subjects into different diplomas are in the past.

“The Executive has materialized, in the field of labor policy, two important legal instruments available to all citizens, so we must take the best advantage, depending on the situation in which each one finds themselves”, he explained.

Regarding labor reform, which concluded with the approval and publication of the New General Labor Law, he emphasized that it resulted from the need to revitalize Angolan labor law and sought to redefine the content of the provisions relating to the formation, validity and termination of labor relations.

The new law will come into force at the end of March.

The Ministry of Public Administration, Labor and Social Security (MAPTSS) has the task of designing, proposing, coordinating, executing and monitoring public policies in the field of labor administration and, therefore, leading the process of normative consolidation of labor justice in the country.

The process of amending Law No. 7/15, of June 15, General Labor Law (in force), began with the preparion of a study plan, carried out at the beginning of 2021, within the scope of strategic development and modernization policies in the work, embodied in the Conventions of the International Labor Organization.
