Africa-Press – Angola. Citizens of the province of Luanda must continue to denounce the illegal practices that make the country’s capital an unsuitable space for their “children” to live with dignity, defended Governor Manuel Homem yesterday.
Responding to concerns raised by the participants of the “Knowledge Workshop”, which addressed the theme “Thinking Luanda”, at the Mediateca de Luanda, the government official said that they are available to respond to all complaints from citizens, as long as they have legal basis.
He stressed that many of the actions they develop are based on public or anonymous complaints from citizens.
Regarding the discreditable behavior of some inspectors, Manuel Homem said that they have been guided to carry out the activity within ethical and deontological principles.
For individuals who act outside the norms, the official recommended that a complaint be made, in the sense that they are sanctioned.
He exhorted the young people to remain inspired in conquering the things they desire, but that the “fight” be done with civility and capacity for dialogue.
He stressed that the future of the country is in the hands of the youth, but that it is necessary to receive the testimony of the elderly, acquiring knowledge, capacity and maturity, so that there are no failures.
The mentor of the initiative, the academic, Osvaldo Mboko, recognized that the objectives were achieved, specifying that other meetings of the kind to approach the actions that are underway for the development of the country will be promoted.
For the French ambassador in Angola, Daniel Vosgien, his presence at the meeting served to make contact with the strategy for the development of Luanda, in the sense of continuing to attract support for the growth of the Luandense city.
The “Knowledge Workshop”, which has a national character, began to be promoted in 2018.
