Africa-Press – Angola. The Rural Agricultural Training Support Project (PAFAR), a Presidential initiative, could be implemented at the Luau Agricultural Technical Institute (ITAL), in the province of Moxico.
This is a project that foresees the creation of conditions in 12 infrastructures of the Agricultural Technical Institutes (ITA) in the country, with a financial portfolio of 35 million euros (900 kwanzas/1 euro) for its implementation.
Lasting two years, the project, financed by the French Development Agency, essentially aims to provide these institutions with fundamental tools, which will enable them to train excellent staff and provide technical assistance to local farmers.
It also plans to mitigate food insecurity, combat poverty, develop environmental protection practices, empower women in agricultural technical qualifications and revitalize policies for insertion of agricultural technical-professional education graduates into the labor market.
With a view to investigating the infrastructural, technical and human conditions of the Luau Agricultural Technical Institute (ITAL), a delegation from the Ministry of Education worked this Wednesday in this border municipality.
The project will expand in all ITAs in the country, namely in the provinces of Moxico, Cuanza-Sul, Cuanza-Norte, Malanje, Benguela, Namibe, Huíla, Cuando-Cubango, Uige, Lunda-Sul, Bié and Huambo.
