Africa-Press – Angola. Government members and church representatives in Lunda-Norte described, this Monday, in Dundo, the former President of the Republic José Eduardo dos Santos as a true promoter of dialogue and understanding.

The different figures paid tribute to the former President of the Republic at the wake placed in the courtyard of Praça Agostinho Neto, with the signing of the book of condolences in memory of the Architect of Peace, whose opening was given to Governor Ernesto Muangala.

The deputy governor for the Political, Social and Economic Sector, Deolinda Vilarinho, stressed that one of José Eduardo dos Santos’ legacies that must be preserved is dialogue.

“He was a true patriot, a youth leader with an innovative political vision, including the promotion of Human Rights that saved the lives of many people in Angola”, declared the deputy governor of Lunda-Norte.

The delegate of the Ministry of the Interior, Commissioner Alfredo Quintino “Nilo”, said that in the guise of Commander-in-Chief of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA), José Eduardo dos Santos always said that dialogue is the best way to resolve conflicts.

Father Inocêncio Mussinga stressed the need to place President José Eduardo dos Santos in the historical context during which he led the Nation with dialogue and understanding that brought Peace and National Reconciliation.

The priest of the Pentecostal Assembly of God , Domingos José, said that the former President of the Republic leaves an unquestionable legacy, taking into account that he promoted ecumenical dialogue that contributed to the growth of the church in the country.
