Africa-Press – Angola. The province of Lunda-Norte has cataloged 187 Public Investment Program (PIP) projects, linked to the Education, Health, Sports and Roads sectors, which have been paralyzed for more than five years.
The information was provided this Tuesday, in Dundo, by the governor of Lunda-Norte, Deolinda Satula Vilarinho, during the extraordinary meeting of the Provincial Community Consultation Council, chaired by the Minister of Territorial Administration, Dionísio da Fonseca.
He said that of the paralyzed projects, the Chitato multipurpose pavilion, the Technical Health Institute, the national road 170, on the Camaxilo/Lubalo/Xinge section, stand out.
On the occasion, the governor informed the minister that the province of Lunda-Norte lacks an administrative building to house all provincial offices, with a view to concentrating all services and bringing them closer to citizens.
He highlighted that the infrastructures where provincial offices operate do not offer decent conditions for the provision of quality public services.
On the other hand, he reiterated that the Lunda-North government will continue to prioritize communication, energy and water, education and health, with a view to improving the social conditions of the population.
In turn, Minister Dionisio da Fonseca assured that he will, at the meeting of a working committee coordinated by the Minister of State for economic coordination, present the problem for the mobilization of financing, aiming to complete the halted works in a phased manner..
He instructed the local government to prioritize projects that must be completed in the short and medium term.
The Minister of Territorial Administration has been working in Lunda-Norte since Sunday, to find out about the level of execution of municipal infrastructure works, PIIM projects and the socioeconomic situation of the communes that will be elevated to municipalities, within the scope of the New Political Division Administrative.
