Africa-Press – Angola. FC Bravos do Maquis do Moxico announced today, Wednesday, in Luena, 10 reinforcements, to attack the “Girabola” National Football Championship and the Angola Cup, with emphasis on a 26-year-old Brazilian and a 27-year-old Cameroonian years old.
They are the Brazilian attacking midfielder Ígor Vilela, 26 years old, from FC Operário do Brasil and the Cameroonian striker Mathias Malep, 27 years old, who represented Dinamo Clube de Douala (Cameroon).
According to the vice-president of the club, José Barraca, six other players from the national market are also signed, namely left defender Manico and right winger Nandinho (former Desportivo da Huíla), as well as central defender Hugo Lourenço “Baldez ” (former Academica do Lobito).
The team coached by Mário Soares will also have the services of attacking midfielders Vado and Francis, signed from Kabuscorp do Palanca and Recreativo do Libolo, respectively, as well as striker Nataniel, from Ferrovia do Huambo. Completing the batch of reinforcements are striker Bebo and offensive midfielder Mayamba, from the club’s “canteira”.
The Maquis, who set out to finish Girabola on the podium and win the Angola Cup, extended the contract with the 35-year-old Brazilian striker Jorge Alves “Jorginho” for another season, who reinforced the maquisarde team in the middle of last season.
The player was decisive in the offensive maneuver of the “Chanas do Leste” team, having scored five goals and three assists, in 12 games played in the second phase of the championship.
The sporting director said that the club also renewed the contract with goalkeeper Kabamba from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) for one year.
To close the squad, José Barraca said that the guild is still in the domestic market looking for a defensive midfielder to reinforce the team.
Bravos do Maquis will carry out a micro internship in the province of Huíla, before traveling to South Africa, where they will complete the competitive internship.
In Girabola 2022/23, FC Bravos do Maquis finished sixth in the leaderboard, with 39 points, in a competition won by Petro de Luanda.
