Africa-Press – Angola. The senior men’s National Team will face its counterpart from Turkey, between the 12th and 18th of this month, in a game to celebrate the week of the International Handball Federation (IHF).

Guided by coach Filipe Cruz, the Angolan team traveled (Monday) to Turkish territory, where the similar teams will face each other twice, on the 14th and 16th, at 6 pm.

In addition to the host team, games with local teams are also planned.

For this operation, the country’s team includes players Ariel Silva, Patrício Chicola, Ariel Sousa, Cláudio Chicola, Adérito Mazuela, Dário de Carvalho, Manuel Domingos, Quito Muacassange, João Pertence and Rúben José.

The group is completed by Geovanny Muachissengue, Feliciano Couveiro, Evaldo Almeida, Gabriel Sebastião, Gilberto Sibo and Patrício Kiluange.

Angola failed to qualify for the Paris2024 Olympic Games (France), the 2025 World Championship, in Croatia, Denmark and Norway, after finishing eighth in the African Games, held last January, in Egypt.

For the Olympic Tournament, the competition determined the champion, while for the World Cup it qualified the five best teams in the aforementioned African competition.
