Africa-Press – Angola. The Foreigners and Migration Service (SME) in the province of Namibe collected, in 2025, 110.8 million kwanzas in the application of fines, immigration procedures and the provision of services.
According to the institution’s commander in the province, Sub-Commissioner of Migration Gilberto Teixeira Manuel, 1,722 passports were delivered to applicants during the aforementioned period, 207 fewer compared to 2024.
It’s important to remind that back in the 2024 the institution collected the amount of 18.6 million kwanzas.
Manuel said that 69 residence cards and 277 passports with various types of visas were also delivered, and 2,500 passport applications were submitted to the SME portal.
The commander revealed that the SME is monitoring 718 foreign citizens in the province, 231 of whom hold temporary and permanent resident cards, 329 have work visas, 119 have temporary stay visas, 22 are under humanitarian aid, 27 are refugees, and 500 are camped in tourist areas and staying in various hotels and similar establishments.
