Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Youth and Sports, Palmira Barbosa, said Tuesday that her sector will work with sports associations in Benguela to rehabilitate infrastructures in an advanced state of degradation.
Palmira Barbosa was speaking at a meeting with leaders of associations and youth organizations and sportsmen, and announced that within six months work will be resumed for completion, later this year, of the future Campismo, paralyzed for over ten years.
It argues that, with the completion of these works, youth will have at their disposal an infrastructure that will respond to their concerns, both in terms of leisure, sports and well-being.
Palmira Barbosa said that the working visit to the province of Benguela aims to verify in loco the state of the existing sports infrastructures and help in boosting the youth associative movement.
According to the official, the practice of sport is a fundamental factor of change and social inclusion, and the recovery of sports infrastructures throughout the national territory is one of the main concerns of President João Lourenço.
Palmira Barbosa said, on the other hand, that the province of Benguela has three centralities that have sports infrastructures, therefore calling for the massification of school sports and sports movements in the communities.
