Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, Mário Oliveira, highlighted, this Friday, in Berlin (Germany), the fight against corruption and impunity promoted by the Angolan Government, as part of the process of improving the environment of business in Angola.

According to the minister, who was speaking at the 16th edition of the Africa Global Business Summit conference, the Angolan government initiated a series of reforms for the consolidation of the democratic state and the rule of law, as well as the modernization of public administration, with a focus on the quality of expenditure and in facilitating a better business environment.

Mário Oliveira mentioned the reforms initiated in 2017 aimed at strengthening the economy and fiscal policy, as well as the main agricultural products and where they are produced, highlighting the strong production of bananas, potatoes, citrus fruits and cassava.

Over two days, more than 100 guests, including government officials, ambassadors, policymakers, investors and CEOs of African and international companies, spoke about how digital transformation is shaping Africa’s future, of renewable energy and how investment in the energy sector will change Africa’s economies, agribusiness revolution, value chain and investment, as well as infrastructure, construction, real estate and smart city.

There was also a panel on health, focused on the impact of technology and economy of scale.

Angola participated in the event with a delegation led by the Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, Mário de Oliveira, which included the CEOs of AIPEX and Angola Cables, administrators of SONANGOL and technicians from the institutions represented.

The Forum Africa Business Summit, which this year highlighted Angola and Rwanda, had the Embassy of Angola in Germany as co-organizer of the Awards Gala.
