Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Youth and Sports, Palmira Barbosa, praised today (Friday), in Luanda, the way in which the 1o de Agosto and Petro teams performed in the Supertaça Francisco de Almeida, where the players showed the quality of their handball made in the country.
Speaking to the press, in the Cidadela pavilion, the official stated that it was a technically good game, the youngest girls were able to perform at the same level as the more experienced ones.
“Today, the game was more emotional compared to last season, because the two teams are very evenly matched, due to what the new generation has demonstrated on the field,” he said.
The former captain of the National Team said that both teams did not disappoint the fans, who were present in large numbers at the Cidadela pavilion, where Petro beat 1o de Agosto, 26-24.
With today’s achievement, Petro brings the aforementioned competition to fourteen trophies, which aims to honor the first president of the Angolan Handball Federation (FAAND), as well as the opening of the national sports season.
