Africa-Press – Angola. At least 2,390,878 litres of various types of fuel were seized in the first quarter of this year, the Minister of State and Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic, Francisco Pereira Furtado, reported in Luanda on Tuesday. The figures were released during a meeting of the Interministerial Commission to Combat Fuel Smuggling.
According to Francisco Pereira Furtado, who is also the coordinator of the Commission, the seizure was the result of strategic measures underway in collaboration with provincial governments and ministerial departments, with the involvement of defence and security bodies.
