Africa-Press – Angola. The Political Bureau of the MPLA manifested itself Sunday, dismayed by the death of Queen Nhakatolo, which occurred Saturday, in Luanda, due to illness.
In a statement sent, this political party addresses the bereaved family, the population of Moxico and, in particular, of Alto Zambeze, “deep feelings of regret”.
The note states that, having held the throne since 2004, the Queen has always shown herself to be a staunch defender of the noblest interests of the people of the tribe and their descendants.
It also recognizes that Nhakatolo’s reign was marked by the spirit of loyalty, respect for the cultural values of ancestry and maintenance of the royal lineage.
The MPLA Political Bureau considers the death of the sovereign as a loss of part of the collective memory of the people of her kingdom, in particular, and of Angola, in general.
For the unfortunate event, on behalf of the militants, sympathizers and friends of the party, the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the MPLA bows before the memory of the deceased, expressing wishes for eternal rest.
