Africa-Press – Angola. “Ethics and integrity in public service” will be discussed this Saturday (16), at the Belas Conference Center (CCB), during a seminar on the topic, which is being promoted by the MPLA.
According to the coordinator of the Discipline and Ethics commission of this political formation, Maria Antonieta Baptista, the event aims to promote a space for discussion that leads to reflection on the relevance of ethics and integrity in public service among activists, supporters and friends of the MPLA.
Maria Antoinette said that the seminar also aims to deepen knowledge about the ethical foundations of good conduct and integrity, as values and norms guiding the actions of activists inside and outside the party.

He said that it will take place in the form of 3 bi-thematic panels and each speaker will have 20 minutes to speak, followed by a period of 30 minutes at the end of each panel.
On the occasion, the person in charge, who was speaking at a press conference, stated that the event also serves to show that “all actors in society, regardless of whether they are public servants or not, must adopt behaviors that never undermine ethics, in order to say no to corruption.”
During the event, topics such as ethics and integrity in the formation and execution of public contracts, acts of non-compliance, as well as the main regulatory and control instruments relating to ethics and integrity in Angola, among others, will be addressed.
The event will feature the participation of more than a thousand MPLA members, among other guests from the social sphere.
