Africa-Press – Angola. The first provincial secretary of the MPLA in Bengo, Maria Antónia Nelumba, considered the year 2025 to be crucial Saturday, as part of the party’s preparation for the 2027 general elections.
When speaking at the opening of the VII ordinary meeting of the MPLA Provincial Committee in Bengo, the political leader considered it necessary to work on mobilization to increase the militant base of the party and its social organizations (OMA and JMPLA), as the elections are won with numbers of activists and voters. He asked activists and leaders to improve the MPLA’s insertion mechanisms in society and in interaction with other living forces in society.
“A true member of the MPLA must always be engaged in militant action. Their attitudes, their daily activities must add value to the party”, he stressed.
It means that each party member is responsible for its success, he continued, and must work towards it, regardless of their position, their responsibility and even their state of mind.
He called on activists and leaders to continue to intensify awareness-raising activities across the board in order to better inform the people on matters of preventing and combating cholera.
The government is doing its part, creating conditions to contain and eliminate this evil and the population must collaborate, with prevention measures, especially in solid waste management, hygiene, use of water and food preservation, among other measures.
