Africa-Press – Angola. The head of the department for Political, Economic, Electoral and Social Affairs of the MPLA Committee in Bié province, António Filipe, defended Saturday, the strengthening of education for citizenship, with a view to preserving peace.

Speaking at the 8th ordinary meeting of the JMPLA, the politician said that it is fundamental to continue to raise the levels of citizenship of youth, to allow them to have greater involvement in the rescue of moral, ethical, civic, cultural and patriotic values, as well as in the consolidation it would take a while.

According to António Filipe, it is important for the JMPLA militant to commit to the fight against tribalism and other socially reprehensible evils, in addition to respecting contrary opinions, public goods and the environment.

He exhorted the members of the MPLA youth organization to continue supporting the policies of the Angolan Executive, mainly in terms of clarifying other young people about the measures for the gradual withdrawal of fuel subsidy, with emphasis on gasoline.

The meeting, presided over by the first secretary of the JMPLA of Bié, Alfredo Capitango, analyzed, among other matters, the internal situation of the organization.
