Africa-Press – Angola. The 1st secretary of the MPLA in Cuando Cubango, José Martins, requested, this Thursday, in Menongue, more dynamism from the party’s leaders and militants, with a view to guaranteeing greater insertion of the organization in society and facilitating the resolution of the main problems of populations.
José Martins, who was speaking at the end of the second provincial methodological meeting of the party, said that, in order to achieve this aim, it is crucial to deepen the dialogue with militants and citizens from the most varied social strata, in order to intensify and improve the capacity organization, mobilization and intervention of the MPLA in Cuando Cubango.
“We must, among other actions, invest more in human capital to boost the insertion of the MPLA in society, which will imply greater commitment from leaders, staff and basic structures”, he stressed.
At the end of the meeting, the participants defended the continuous training of leaders and social organizations in terms of the party’s ideology, as well as the revitalization of groups of trainers and lecturers at all levels.
According to the final communiqué of the meeting, the participants concluded that it was necessary to publicize more the Executive’s actions, defending, therefore, greater articulation between cadres, leaders and militants in social networks, respecting social coexistence, ethics and morals, in compliance with the party’s statutes and regulations.
On the other hand, they encouraged the Executive to continue implementing support programs for former combatants, homeland veterans and war disabled, in favor of the well-being of this fringe.
