Africa-Press – Angola. The secretary of the Information and Propaganda Department of the MPLA Provincial Committee in Uíge, Virgílio Cordeiro João, advised against, this Thursday, the publication of false information on social networks and other media.
The politician, who was speaking on the sidelines of the presentation of the program “Jornadas 10 de Outubro”, which marks the celebration of the 67th anniversary of the founding of the MPLA, justified that the publication of false information constitutes a crime.
For this reason, he said that all those who try to tarnish the image of someone or an institution will be held criminally responsible.
Virgílio Cordeiro said that the party in Uíge is in “good health” and will continue to work to defend the interests of the people, through the creation of policies that aim to improve the social conditions of the population.
In this sense, he said that the party will continue to carry out hard work to help the local government improve the energy and water distribution system, reduce the cost of the basic food basket, improve access roads, promote professional training, among others. challenges.
Regarding the 10th of December Days, the person in charge informed that he is booking simultaneous meetings in the 16 municipalities of the province, holding lectures on the social purpose of the MPLA, politics and its global vision for the country, the role of the church in the reconstruction of Angolan society, consultation with zungueira women, domestic workers, businesswomen and entrepreneurs.
The program also includes visits to ongoing social projects in the municipalities, meetings with academics, former combatants, a football match, a cleaning campaign, recruitment of new members in the kilomosso centrality, among other activities.
To be guided by the first secretary of the MPLA in Uíge, José Carvalho da Rocha, the opening of the 10th of December Days, this Friday, will be held in the municipality of Quitexe, while the provincial mass event, to be held on Saturday (02 ), will take place in the municipality of Sanza Pombo.
