Africa-Press – Angola. The first secretary of the MPLA in Zaire province, Adriano Mendes de Carvalho, said Saturday in the village of Nzeto that his party is working to reverse the unfavorable trend of the results obtained in the last general elections in the region.

Speaking at the political act to publicize the MPLA’s political agenda for 2023, the first secretary assured that everything is being done at the level of the base and intermediate structures of the party for the materialization of this desire.

To this end, he appealed to party members and militants to work hard, helping to resolve the main problems that still afflict the population.

The politician recalled that the MPLA was and continues to be the party of the masses, which is why he called for the intensification of awareness-raising and mobilization work for the entry of more militants into the organization’s ranks.

Standing out among the ten axes of the MPLA’s political agenda for this year are: working harder and communicating better, bringing the party’s organization closer to its insertion in society, as well as improving working and mobilization methods.

Promoting and ensuring quality governance, with an emphasis on controlling the execution of public expenditure, for the benefit and development of the population, are part of the agenda of the “comrades” party.

Under the motto “bringing governance closer to the citizen”, the political act was attended by hundreds of members, militants, friends and supporters of the MPLA.

The same was animated by local and national musicians.
