The vice-president of the MPLA, Luísa Damião, defended this Monday, in Luanda, that an assertive ideological political vision must allow the party’s leaders and cadres a constant commitment to satisfying the social needs of citizens, through the adoption greater empathy and probity in the management of public affairs.

The political leader, who was speaking at the opening of the “Advanced political-ideological training course for MPLA’s leading cadres”, said that the party needs to continue to focus on its axiological references, in order to maintain the ideological framework to strengthen the association. given the current situation and maintain its matrix.

Luísa Damião stated that the key to political success continues to reside in the functional capacity of the organizational models that are adopted and in the ability to continue learning a new reality in terms of the functioning of the party machine, as well as improving and studying the main themes inherent to the economic management and leadership in governance.

He informed that the course is of capital importance as it aims to train leading cadres in light of the issues scheduled for present and future challenges, and constitutes one of the opportunities to reinforce the party’s insertion in society.

The person in charge considered it important to continue the training and updating of the party’s cadres and leaders, therefore, this course is a faithful depository of what emanates from the national system of political training for cadres.

During his intervention, he said that the success of a political organization in the competitive arena does not only depend on having resources and opportunities, but a good strategic plan depends fundamentally on the way in which the plans will be operationalized through people, that is, the party’s leading cadres..

He pointed out that this situation imposes a high degree of ideological political preparation on staff so that they can always respond with intelligence and strategic vision to new phenomena, inherent to political competition.

The advanced political-ideological training course for MPLA management staff runs until Wednesday to debate various topics, with emphasis on “Discipline, ethics and political conduct“, “Political leadership, communication and parliamentary democracy“, “Parliamentary democracy and crisis management“, “Economy and development and strategic planning“.
