MPLA wants militants committed to ethics

Africa-Press – Angola. The first provincial secretary of the MPLA in Moxico, Ernesto Muangala, appealed this Thursday, in Luena, to the need for members of this party to adopt an “exemplary and irreproachable” conduct in the fulfillment of their duties as citizens.

The politician, who was speaking during the opening of a training course on discipline, Ethics, promoted by the Provincial Committee of the MPLA, said that the militant of this party must be capable of transmitting confidence and credibility to the people of the community in which he is inserted.

“In the current context, it has been verified that the behavior of some militants, leaders, managers and staff at various levels, has not corresponded with the statutes, principles and norms, contained in the party’s code of ethics and in other guiding instruments”, he said.

In this sense, he highlighted the importance of approaching the aforementioned theme, which, according to the official, could contribute to the achievement of the seminar’s objectives, aiming at strengthening, updating and increasing the knowledge of “our militants, to better face the present challenges and of the future”.

The seminar on Ethics, which lasts for one day, is being directed to leaders of the provincial and municipal secretariats of Moxico.
