Africa-Press – Angola. The first provincial secretary of the MPLA in Benguela, Luís Nunes, reaffirmed this Saturday, in this city, that the health, education, communication, energy and water sectors will continue to deserve the attention of the Angolan Executive.
Speaking at a mass event, on the occasion of his party’s 67th anniversary, to be celebrated on December 10th, Luís Nunes said that several interventions are planned in the aforementioned sectors, to considerably improve the living conditions of citizens.
“In the health sector, we will continue to invest in improving infrastructure, training professionals and access to quality services”, he explained.
In his opinion, a healthy population is the foundation of any prosperous nation.
In the field of education, he highlighted the hard work to provide quality teaching, promoting the continuous training of teachers and investing in adequate educational infrastructures.
“We believe that access to education is the key to individual and collective development”, he emphasized.
Regarding communication routes, he said that their improvement is essential for the connection and interconnection between the different regions.
On this aspect, he promised to work so that the Executive develops efficient transport infrastructures, which facilitate mobility and stimulate economic development.
With regard to energy and water, he attributed vital importance to these resources for quality of life.
“We are committed to investing in sustainable solutions that guarantee access to clean energy and drinking water for all citizens, while also safeguarding the environment.
Regarding agriculture, as a pillar of food security, he stated that it is also at the center of attention.
“We implement policies that aim to mobilize and industrialize the sector, promote local production and guarantee the sustainability of families”, he explained.
Luís Nunes argued that his party’s policies are intangible proof that, despite the challenges, solving social problems remains at the top of its agenda.
The first secretary said that the need to take less popular measures in favor of economic stability and sanitation, at this critical moment in the country, makes political courage a vital tool for sustainable progress.
“We understand that difficult and unpopular decisions are essential to correct course and ensure that the foundations of our economy remain solid,” he stated.
For Luís Nunes, in the challenging times the country is currently experiencing, “it is crucial to face reality head on and take measures that can generate results and ensure a more robust and equitable future for all”.
“Political courage lies in the ability to lead with vision and determination, even when the paths to be taken are arduous”, he assured.
Luís Nunes believes that the true greatness of a political party lies in its ability to face the people’s challenges head-on, offering concrete and effective solutions.
The MPLA, the party in power in Angola, will celebrate, on December 10th, 67 years of existence.
To celebrate the date, the provincial political event was held in advance in the municipality of Cubal, under the motto: MPLA 67 years for Unity, Progress and Commitment for Angola.
