Africa-Press – Angola. The Consul of the Republic of Namibia for the Southern Region of Angola, Annel Endjala, expressed on Monday in central Huila province, her country’s interest in strengthening cooperation with Angola in the areas of agriculture, education, youth, sports, the creative industry, health, and land.
Speaking at a meeting with Huila Governor Nuno Mahapi, the diplomat stated that they are focusing on food security and youth empowerment in agriculture.
According to Endjala, the focus on education and technical training aims to improve staff skills through quality education, while in the creative industry sector, Namibia seeks to empower young people to develop their artistic talents.
Endjala detailed that the goal in health is to provide services in rural areas to improve community life, and in land, she is seeking sufficient space to build houses and bring basic sanitation to urban areas.
Endjala emphasized that Namibia’s favorable macroeconomic situation, stemming from the country’s stable peace, has created an environment conducive to development and successful business operations.
“With these identified areas of mutual interest and the favorable environment we enjoy, we are confident that we are on the right track to implementing our cooperation,” she stated.
The diplomat stated that Angola remains a strategic partner for Namibia because its founders established a foundation for continued cooperation to improve the well-being of both communities.
The Namibian diplomat for the provinces of Cunene, Namibe, and Huíla is visiting the municipalities of Matala, Lubango, and Humpata to identify potential locations for cooperation.
