Africa-Press – Angola. Angola’s National Assembly expressed its regret over the death the parliamentarian Monteiro Reinaldo Eliseu, from the UNITA Parliamentary Group, which occurred on Sunday in the city of Huambo, victim of illness.
In a note of condolence, the Speaker of the of the National Assembly, Adão de Almeida, highlighted the commitment and sense of mission of the deceased.
He highlighted his contribution to strengthening the democratic debate and defending the interests of the populations he represented.
Elected by the provincial circle of Huambo, by UNITA, Monteiro Reinaldo Eliseu was part of the Committee on Mandates, Ethics and Parliamentary Decorum, where he performed his duties with zeal, integrity and a high sense of duty.
According to the note, his death represents a loss for the National Assembly and for the country, given the contribution made to strengthening the ethical and institutional values of Parliament.
In the message, the president of the National Assembly extends his deepest condolences to the bereaved family and everyone who shared his life journey.
