National Company and Investment Fund Sign Deal on Honey Production

Africa-Press – Angola. A Memorandum of Understanding to assess the potential for increased honey production in the Province of Moxico was recently signed, in Luanda, between the Greenfield Venture Capital Fund and the company Kapata.

According to a press release Monday (01), this is an investment opportunity resulting from the Emerging Program promoted by the Capital Market Commission (CMC), aimed at bringing together Angolan entrepreneurs and financial investment mechanisms.

Quoted in the note, CMC administrator Vasco Januário said that the agreement will renew the hopes of families in Moxico, considering the Venture Capital Fund’s policy, which offers an alternative financing option for early-stage businesses that cannot find support in commercial banking.

In turn, João dos Santos, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Deltagest Capital, reaffirmed Greenfield FCR’s commitment to small entrepreneurs, stating that, despite its limited size, it is open to supporting innovative initiatives throughout the country.

Greenfield was the first Venture Capital Fund registered with the Capital Markets Commission in 2022, with the main objective of providing an alternative investment in local currency, diversifying portfolios and increasing asset profitability through investments that deliver social, economic, cultural, environmental, and corporate governance (ESG) impact in the country.
