Africa-Press – Angola. Five thousand 840 liters of gasoline, destined for the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), were seized over the weekend in the municipality of Milunga, Uíge province, by the local National Police.
This Monday, the spokesman for the Provincial Command of the National Police in Uíge, Chief Superintendent Freitas Zama, explained that the product, coming from the province’s headquarters, was being transported in a truck to the commune of Massau, in municipality of Milunga.
He added that the gasoline would be sold in the DRC and was stored in 292 drums of 20 liters.
In addition to the seizure of the product, a 27-year-old national citizen was also arrested, following the micro-operation called RX, carried out by the staff of the municipal section of Criminal Illicit.
Regarding the detainee, Freitas Zama said that he will be forwarded to the Public Ministry, for the necessary legal procedures.
