Africa-Press – Angola. Five hundred and fifteen new agents of the National Police (PN), female, finished, this Monday, the second phase of the first shift of the corporation’s 20th basic course, taught by the Capolo Practical School.
In the closing session, the General Commander of the National Police, Arnaldo Manuel Carlos, asked the new agents to make a difference in public order and security.
In his speech, Arnaldo Manuel Carlos praised the bravery and dedication of the new agents during training, where they acquired knowledge that will allow them to carry out their missions as agents of authority.
He asked that the Law, ethics and professional deontology always be a guide for actions, as well as disapproving the acts of public disorder carried out by some citizens who, despite exercising their rights, end up violating the morals and rights of third parties .
He recalled that the Police, in addition to their specific mission of guaranteeing security, is above all a citizen who lives and feels all the phenomena of society, and what is required is exemplary and civic behaviour.
The director of the Practical Police School, João Elias de Sousa, emphasized that 95 percent of the staff that make up the PN passed through the school, as well as staff from countries such as the DRC, Congo Brazzaville, Namibia, Central African Republic and Equatorial Guinea.
He stressed that they intend to ensure the basic training of more than 10,000 enlisted men presented at the end of 2022, so that in two shifts they are submitted to instruction and entry into the staff of the PN in the class of public order agents.
The event was part of the commemorations of the 47th anniversary of the Police Practical School, whose mission is to train the corporation’s staff in the technical and tactical aspects.
The Police Practice School was founded on June 26, 1976 in memory of a group of instructors and trainees sent to practices in the province of Bié who were victims of the conflicts.
The institution integrates resources and infrastructure from public order, protection and intervention schools, Zau-Evua training centers and Norte Cacuso regional training centre.
During the act, there was a presentation of the troop on parade, a demonstration of strength, as well as a message from the finalists, where they committed to comply with the rules of the corporation, respect and value each other.
