Africa-Press – Angola. The National Football Team, also known as “Sable Antelopes”, left Monday for Bloemfontein, South Africa, venue of the COSAFA Cup, to be played from the 4th to the 15th of this month, with the aim of revalidating the title won in 2024.
Angola will make their debut on Thursday against Namibia.
To remind that the two teams will meet once again, after the final game of the last edition, in which Angola won (5-0), in a tournament played in Gqeberha, Port Elizabeth, also in South Africa.
Kaporal was the top scorer with five goals in the competition which brings together the countries of Southern Africa on the continent. He was crowned top scorer in the National Championship “Girabola2024-25”, with 22 goals playing for Wiliete de Benguela.
In the competition, Angola, coached by Pedro Gonçalves, are in group B with Namibia, Malawi and Lesotho, while group A is made up of South Africa, Mozambique, Mauritius and Zimbabwe, (C) Morocco, Madagascar and Eswatini and (D) Zambia, Comoros and Botswana.

Neblú, Agostinho Calunga, Dominique are the goalkeepers and Rui, Alexandre Abel, Leonel Cambuta and Caíca, Mindinho, Jonathan Buatu, Gaspar, Sami and Vidinho, are the defenders.
The midfielders are Aguinaldo Matias e Mabelé, Além, Hossi e Pedro Agosto, Higino, Joca, Show, Keliano, Pedro Bondo and Randy Nteka, while Zine, Gibelé e Ilídio Panda, Milson, Chico Banza, Kaporal, Depu and Lépua, are the forwards.
