Nvidia Surpasses Microsoft and Becomes the most Valuable Company

Africa-Press – Angola. The company’s shares rose 3.5 percent to $135.58, bringing its market value to $3.34 billion. Nvidia had already overtaken Apple a few days ago.

Since Tuesday this week, Artificial Intelligence company Nvidia has occupied the position of the most valuable company in the world, “dethroning” Microsoft, at a time when processors play a central role in gaining dominance in technology.

According to news from international websites, the company’s shares rose 3.5 percent to 135.58 dollars, raising its market value to 3.34 billion dollars, a few days after having overtaken the iPhone manufacturer, Apple, to become the second most valuable company.

Microsoft’s market value was around $3.32 billion, with its shares falling 0.45 percent. Apple shares fell more than 1.0 percent, setting their value at 3.29 billion.

The significant increase in Nvidia’s market value over the last year has become emblematic of the frenzy that exists on Wall Street, driven by optimism regarding the emergence of AI technology.

Although Nvidia’s recovery has driven the S&P 500 (Standard & Poor’s 500) index and Nadaq to all-time highs, some investors fear that rampant AI optimism could evaporate if signs of a slowdown in technology spending emerge.
