Africa-Press – Angola. The multiple facets of the province, its traditions, struggles and overcomings are present in the anthology “Vozes de Malanje – Navigating Between Stories and Global Challenges”, to be launched this year with the approval of the publisher Musseleji.

The work will bring together 50 writers, musicians and academics, natives of Malanje from the old and new generation, residents and in the diaspora, who through chronicles, poems, stories, self-help texts and opinion articles will narrate the past and present of the province.

Among the co-authors, we highlight the writers and academics Lopito Feijó, João Rosa Santos, Ngonguita Diogo, Carmo Neto, Conceição Cristóvão, Father Inácio Gonçalves “Kota Ingo”, Cristóvão Neto, Mito Gaspar, Ngola Nobre, José Jacinto, Manuel Augusto, João Aguiar, Higino Sacramento, Ilmo Panzo and Domingos Kiluanje.

According to the director of the Musseleji publishing house and project coordinator, Kibuku Kiajinje, the idea for the anthology arises from the need to unite the cream of writers from Malanje and promote a generational meeting that serves to share experiences in the field of literature.

He revealed that the work, with 200 pages, is 90 percent complete, with the collection of texts being finalized at this stage, which will be followed by editing, layout, review, printing and launch scheduled for next September.

Kibuku Kiajinje lamented the low participation of women in the project, and therefore appealed to this fringe to embrace the cause, with a view to enriching the work and promoting the genre.

Created in 2020, the Musseleje publishing house has already published 15 works, including literary and scientific.
