Africa-Press – Angola. The provincial secretary of OMA in Cunene, Lúcia Sincopela, this Thursday praised the role played by women in maintaining peace and democracy at the level of nations.

Regarding the preparation of the Luanda Biennial, on the International Women’s Forum for Peace and Democracy, he referred that the challenges continue to be the promotion, defense and preservation of peace and reconciliation.

According to the official, women have always participated in defending the homeland’s security and maintaining peace in Angola, recalling that 51.5 percent of the population is women.

For this reason, he argued that female representation in this process was crucial, involving themselves in missions that culminated in the achievement of peace, reconciliation and democracy.

Another yes, stressed that along with the various political, military and diplomatic operations, women made a greater contribution to guiding and reorienting families, especially youth.

Meanwhile, she warned women to bet on resilience, training and actions linked to patriotism.
