Africa-Press – Angola. The second edition of the Children’s and Youth Festival (Festinjuv), called “Nzongi ya mona ndengue”, opened this Monday in Luanda, in an initiative of Companhia Cultural Arte e Sol.

According to the project’s director, Solange Feijó, running until the 19th of this month, the shows in the aforementioned edition will deal with “Vivências de Neto”, in homage to the first President of Angola and greatest poet, António Agostinho Neto.

With the start scheduled for this Tuesday in the African League, at 2 pm, with free entrance, he explained, during the event around 300 children, aged between six and 15 years old, will be present, in groups composed of ten to 12 children. .

According to Solange Feijó, the project will bring together creative arts made by different children, from theatre, music, drawing, literature, reading, among others.

He referred that the tribute to the figure of Agostinho Neto does not arise only on the occasion of his birth centenary, but at all times because they think that his poetry has patriotism and they want to convey this to children.

He assured that Festinjuv will not oblige, necessarily, that all groups present only “experiences of Agostinho Neto”, but that during the days there will be no lack of theater, declamation or musicality about the founder of the nation.

For the person in charge, the project has not forgotten social inclusion, where all children without distinction or difference will participate, stressing that they will have general rehearsals and exercises during the program, with the aim of allowing them to be freer during the performances and in capacity. to create.

He said he intended with this project to contribute to the withdrawal of children from crime and the streets, so they need to instill them in the arts.

He regretted the lack of support for a broader realization of the festival, since groups have been dropping out due to lack of means of transportation, among other deficiencies.

In the first edition, children signed up first and during the event the number increased due to the interest shown by parents and guardians in having their children on the Festinjuv stage.
