Africa-Press – Angola. The industrial group Neuce/Angola, producers of paints, varnishes and thinners, opened, Friday, in the city of Menongue, Cuando Cubango, the first distribution and sales store, as part of the product’s expansion policy at the level of the country.
It is the first and only store in the distribution network in the province, whose opening ceremony was witnessed by the deputy governor of Cuando Cubango for the political, social and economic sectors, Helena Chimena.
With the opening of the referred enterprise, which allowed the creation of 32 jobs, the company increases the number of representativeness at the country level, being already in the provinces of Luanda (biggest square), Benguela, Huambo, Huíla, Namibe, Lunda Sul , Malanje and Cunene.
Without specifying the value of the investment applied, the director of the company in the “blue zone”, Artur Anjos, said that the next province will be Bié, where steps are being taken for the construction of infrastructure.
“The company’s challenge is to extend our services to all locations in the country”, underlined Artur dos Anjos without advancing the value of investments made by the company in the region under its jurisdiction.
He added that its products are intended for various sectors of activity such as DIY and decoration, civil construction, the metalworking industry, the automotive industry, the wood industry, furniture and maritime infrastructure.
On the occasion, the vice-governor of Cuando Cubango, Helena Chimena, praised the initiative of the business group, considering that the gesture represents a contribution to the diversification of the economy under way in the country.
He said that the company will equally contribute to the province’s development process in various areas such as market expansion, youth employability and internal productivity.
“The demand for paints in the province is high. For example, cars in need of painting are taken to the cities of Huambo and Lubango”, he pointed out, expressing a “relief” with the availability of the product in the domestic market.
The group based in Portugal, in addition to Angola, is present in Mozambique, Cape Verde, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Kenya and Nigeria with 10 manufacturing units, which allow an effective response to requests from national, regional and continental markets.
In 2007, the Group started with the construction of the largest industrial unit in Angola, in the Industrial Pole of Viana (Luanda). Production capacity is around 90 tons of aqueous base/day and another 10 tons of solvent base.
