Africa-Press – Angola. The Palace of Justice hosted, this Friday, the closing of the provincial event commemorating the 23rd anniversary of the Day of Peace and National Reconciliation, celebrated, April 4th.According to a note from the Government of Luanda, the ceremony was marked by 23 chimes of the Peace Bell and presided over by the Minister of National Defense, Former Combatants and Veterans of the Homeland, João Ernesto dos Santos “Liberdade”.
The event was attended by senior officers of the Angolan Armed Forces and the National Police, vice-governors of Luanda and other members of the Executive, the document states.
The ceremony was held under the motto: “4 April: Angola 50 years – Preserving and valuing the achievements made, building a better future”, reiterating the commitment to the unity and progress of the country.
