Africa-Press – Angola. With a total of 20 points, rider Pedro Rodas from the province of Huambo, won Saturday, the 28th of June Grand Prix (Dia dos Mártires da Resistência do Cuito) on motorcycles with a cylinder capacity of over 150 cubic centimetres, in the category ” Moto FZ.

To complete the podium, the riders Rossi Mário and Laurindo Chiengo, both from the province of Huambo, were in second and third position, with 17 and 15 points, respectively.

In the motorcycle category of 100 cubic centimeters, reserved for motorcycle taxi operators, known as “Kupapatas”, the biker Gugo Pedro, won with 20 points, while Eugénio Padepa and Emídio Joaquim occupied the second and third position, respectively, with 17 and 15 points.

In the 50cc motorcycle class “Fada”, Manuel Ferroes, won the race, with 20 points, while Sílvio Dias and Adriano Raimundo, fell in second and third place, with 17 and 15 points.

The winner of the “Moto FZ” category received 100,000 kwanzas, while the second and third placed received 50,000 and 30,000 kwanzas.

The first classified in the classes of motorcycles of 100 and 50 cubic centimeters received 40,000 Kwanzas each, while the second and third placed received between 25,000 and 15,000 Kwanzas, respectively.

However, the race was disputed in two heats, with nine laps, in each category.

In the “Mota FZ” category, the race had the participation of 22 competitors, 12 from the province of Bié and 10 from Huambo. While for the category “Motorcycle of 100” there were 15 competitors and nine for motorcycles of 50.

The race was promoted by the National Spontaneous Movement in Bié, in partnership with the Associação dos Mártires da Resistência do Cuito.

On the occasion, the vice-governor of Bié province, for the Political, Social and Economic area, Alcida Sandumbo, said that the local Government is starting work aimed at building a better track, for motorbikes with greater displacement.
