In this match of the fourth and penultimate round of this phase of the continental competition, played at the SunBet Arena pavilion, the “Tricolores” were already leading at half-time, by 46-34.
Unlike the previous confrontation, this time the Angolan champion entered the court offensively and in the first three minutes he was leading 9-4, but the opponent quickly recovered and there were three draws on the scoreboard (13-13; 16-16 and 18 -18).
Opting for zone defense and with bases Aginaldo Neto and Childe Dundão on the court, Petro forced the opponent to launch in crisis. At this time, John Pedro and Aboubakar Gakou, in addition to their marking efficiency, also dominated the rebounds, allowing a 12-point lead at halftime (46-34).
