Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan international midfielder, Mário Manuel de Oliveira “Ito”, who stood out at Petro de Luanda in the last three years, signed for one season (2024-2025) for Ahed FC, a team that plays in Lebanon’s first league.
The 29-year-old player finished last season with the Angolan champion team, after leaving Jordan’s Al-Wehdat in the same season.
At Petro de Luanda, Ito won eight titles, including three national championships (Girabola), four Angola Cups and one Super Cup.
Formed at the Progresso Sambizanga club, in the country’s capital, the footballer represented Recreativo do Libolo (2015-2016), Interclube (2018 to 2019-2020), Petro de Luanda (2021-2023 and 2023-2024) and Al-Wehdat ( 2023-2024).
He made his debut in the National Honors Team, aged 18, on December 15, 2012, having been launched by Uruguayan coach Gustavo Ferrín.
In addition to Ito, Petro de Luanda sold players Gilberto “Gibelé” (Orlando Pirates) and Inácio Miguel (Kaizer Chiefs), both from South Africa, as well as Tó Carneiro (Fus Rabat), from Morocco.
