PGR Acknowledges Mistakes by Magistrates Intentionally

Africa-Press – Angola. The Attorney General of the Republic and President of the Superior Council of the Public Prosecutor’s Office (CSMMP), Hélder Pitta Grós, admitted this Wednesday, 25th, in Lunada, that the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) has been making mistakes in several processes, and highlighted that some prosecutors even make mistakes on purpose.

According to Hélder Pitta Grós, not everything is being done correctly at the PGR institution, which needs to change the framework and always act.

“We are aware that not everything is being done correctly at the Attorney General’s Office. We have made mistakes! Some intentionally, I say, and others unintentionally”, stated Hélder Pitta Gróz, this Wednesday, at the inauguration ceremony of 60 new deputy attorneys general of the Republic, recently approved in the public competition of the Superior Council of the Judiciary.

According to the PGR, worse than making mistakes is the person who is watching and says nothing and does not react.

During his speech, Hélder Pitta Grós asked the new senior prosecutors to be aware of what is happening around the Public Prosecutor’s Office magistrates and to always act.

“It is true that in the past they were colleagues in the same category, they were all prosecutors, but that should not mean that they act like friends. Exercise your authority”, concluded the number 1 of the PGR.

The Attorney General of the Republic and President of the Superior Council of the Judiciary of the Public Prosecutor’s Office did not detail the errors or the punishments for the prosecutors who commit them, but stressed that magistrates must be committed to the institution.
